Forrest's NFB Night Cookies

Canadian films: A Matter of Fat by William Weintraub, Crapshoot: The Gamble with Our Wastes by Jeff McKay (though maybe not the best for cookie consuming), Paul Tomkowicz: Street-Railway Switchman by Roman Kroitor. By no means is this an especially thoughtful or exhaustive list. Enjoy

Ingredients

1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp water
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp sea salt
2 tsp ginger or pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp cloves
handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips
handful of raisins

Preheat your oven to 350 C. Get out a pan, spoon, wooden spoon, measuring stuff, and two bowls.
Mix brown sugar and butter together in a medium sized bowl. Add yogurt and water.
In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients together. Add them to the wet ingredients. Mix it all together.
Add your chocolate and/or raisins. Mix them in. Grab your spoon and scoop out your cookie dough. Put on a cookie pan. Press them down a little bit so they aren't so fluffy.
Bake for 8-10 minutes.

MMMMM. Are these the yummer cookies I have already had the delight to eat, or new ones? I will make a batch. When no one is home but me for the prep, otherwise the dough would all be eaten and no cookies to try :0)

It seems s$s is not fated to watch the switchman film. Three times he was foiled by problems on the NFB website. One of the times there was no sound, only image -and that was actually very very nice. Winnipeg seems almost glamorous -in a cozy sort of a way.

You go to the NFB website a lot, don't you?

In Montreal you could go to the NFB and get your own personal viewing station and watch one of their films. It'd be fun to sneak some of these cookies in with you.
